Minimum Qualifications | Education and Experience: Minimum Bachelors' Degree required. At least 2 years experience in student services, employee recruiting experience, or human resources. Excellent problem solving, oral and written communication skills, and mathematical acumen; ability to interpret and implement policy and procedures; and ability to work in a fast-paced team atmosphere. Technical proficiency and experience with Google, internet/social media marketing, and database management, Banner. Commitment to student success with intention to issues of diversity, inclusion, and opportunity. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a changing environment that is team-driven, diverse, fast-paced, and innovative. A commitment to advancing students' holistic development, particularly as it relates to career issues, and a level of enthusiasm, energy, and creativity are essential to providing effective related programs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for one-on-one and group interaction with various constituencies including students, faculty, parents, and administrators. Ability to develop and foster strong professional relationships with faculty, staff, and employers. Strong organization, research, planning, and problem-solving skills. Marketing experience and/or the ability to develop and implement effective strategies for promoting and increasing student involvement in office programs and services. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree preferred in Business, Human Resources, Counseling, Student Development, Higher Education, or an appropriately related field. Experience counseling or advising students and/or employees in a university setting. Experience supervising student employees in a collegiate setting. Demonstrated experience of career development issues for college students and alumni, and an ability to provide counseling on these issues in individual and group settings. Knowledge of and experience using Handshake and/or TimeClock. Experience processing work approvals including I-9 E-verification. |
