As a Senior Manager of IT Governance and Project Management at Capital One, you will ensure governance of key controls, drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the Innovation Center line of business in Capital One Auto Finance. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company's bottom line. General Responsibilities:
This leader is at the center of a product that is a key enabler for software delivery across Capital One. The leader is accountable for effective development of strategies that lead to the well-managed operation of the product & manage efforts as required:
Create and maintain well-managed operating procedures for the product being supported
Responsible for Monthly Business Reviews and other critical operational reviews
Produce metrics and reports to reinforce the organization's well-managed agenda including Scorecards, Dashboards, Key Performance Indicators and Controls.
Lead moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and direct reports.
Design, develop, and manage project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements
Ensure projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time.
Leverage problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent
Partner cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts
Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through their leadership style
Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
At least 10 years of experience leading enterprise Technology Programs, Product, or Project Management initiatives
At least 5 years of experience in developing IT Governance or IT Risk strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
At least 12 years of experience leading enterprise Technology Programs, Product, or Project Management initiatives
At least 10 years of experience developing IT Governance or IT Risk Strategies
At least 10 years of experience driving technical strategies in engineering, data, risk, cyber, governance, or tech talent development
Agile or Scrum Certification
