The Product Planning Manager is responsible for providing oversight and management of the intake and discovery portion of the project lifecycle for COTC software delivery. This includes reviewing all project requests to ensure they are complete, accurate and ready for discovery. This position will work closely with our localized Business Intake Coordinators responsible for gathering and prioritizing project requests in their respective domain to validate requirements and associated business cases. Additionally this role will work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to determine scope, forecast resources, and build and maintain the delivery roadmap. The output will be a formalized business case to be presented to a Governance Committee for review and approval.

In this role, you'll be expected to carry out the following responsibilities . . .

  • Exhibit a proven track record of implementing programs and streamlining processes, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work, prioritization, and dual track agile needs

  • On-going management of the comprehensive list of intake requests and their respective priorities

  • Shepherds project requests through discovery, approval/decline, and prioritization

  • Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure accountability for and delivery of commitments

  • Utilizes and synthesizes data to drive decision making, manage enhancement efforts around intake to drive usage, simplify processes, streamline workflows and produce necessary reports for the Product organization

  • Assist teams in developing objectives and corresponding key results to tie back to value-delivered

  • Monitors and manages overall intake performance including volume, aging, bottlenecks/obstacles, and trends to drive visibility and transparency within the process to all users and utilizes data to drive improvements and enhancements

  • Ensures we are meeting established SLAs as it pertains to project intake and discovery

  • Supports the annual planning process and helps shape the annual roadmap to best align the projects to prioritized strategic initiatives and desired penetration levels

  • Partner with Product leadership and Product owners to connect the dots across the Product Ecosystem and Product Strategy, to ensure appropriate resources and attention is focused on the highest leverage, most critical areas of work

  • Develops weekly intake summary reports and meet with key stakeholders to address concerns and develop solutions.

  • Produce professional, thoughtful presentation materials to drive home the big picture for our leadership team to make well informed decisions

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 3 year of product management experience or at least 3 year of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering

  • At least 3 year of product planning or strategic planning experience

  • At least 2 years of working in an Agile Framework in digital product delivery or software delivery

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

  • MBA or Master's degree

  • 3 or more years of experience in Agile product management or technology delivery or software delivery
