The People Strategy and Analytics team at Capital One is on a mission to transform the associate experience--from hiring to onboarding to associate development--so that all talent can flourish. As a Business Manager on the Talent Management Systems team, you will use advanced analytics, behavioral insights, and organizational science to help drive that transformation.
Our ideal candidate will display a strong balance of analytical and problem solving skills, business consulting, and communication competencies as well as the ability to work in a dynamic team environment. You'll be on a cross functional team that includes analysts, HR specialists, data scientists, and IO psychologists.
You'll have the opportunity to deliver transformational strategy projects that improve the associate experience and enable best practices in the post-hire talent strategy space. Potential topics include Talent Management, Performance Management, and Behavioral Nudges. A typical day will include client consultation, team problem solving, analysis, and insights generation.
As a Talent Management Systems team member, your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategy consultation: Partner with our clients to identify high impact opportunities to transform the associate experience, conduct analysis, and share insights that inform solutions
Design: Drive and build key programs and analytics solutions for our partners, including measurement strategy, attribution modeling, and automated insights
Experimentation: Partner with clients and our Behavioral Nudges lab to design experiments to understand key drivers of associate behavior
Insights & analysis: Analyze the impact of our programs and combine those insights with the latest thinking in organizational science to help our clients make data-driven, informed decisions

Business communication: Strong written and oral communication skills, including visualization skills (i.e., able to "tell the story" and highlight key insights in a clear and concise manner that is easily understood by stakeholders)
Results focus: Drives for results and achieves important goals applying strong organizational skills and detail orientation, even amidst ambiguity
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
At least 2 years of experience in analysis
Preferred qualifications:
MBA or Masters in a STEM degree
Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL
Experience navigating complex, white space problems and apply frameworks to help drive forward decision making
Structured, hypothesis-driven approach to analysis plus engage stakeholders as a part of the analysis development process
Knowledge of advanced statistical methodologies, including regression, or longitudinal analysis, or Bayesian modeling
At least 2 years of experience in management consulting or client-facing role
Experience mentoring or managing junior analysts
