Principal Associate - Data Scientist - Credit Card Acquisitions

The Card DS+ team is constantly looking to use the available data and technologies to give our customers the best experience there is in Credit Cards. This effort includes the entire journey of a customer from being an applicant to being a customer and maintaining a great relationship with Capital One. This means we are analyzing constantly evolving data every day to build solutions that help us make the best decisions for our customers and their financial well being. Role Description
In this role, you will:
Deliver Machine Learning (ML) models that solve a wide variety of problems in the Capital One Card ecosystem by writing highly optimized and robust pipelines for training as well as deployment of the models
Leverage a broad stack of technologies - Python to Scala, Dask to Spark, Sklearn to H2O, AWS, and more - to reveal the insights hidden within huge volumes of numeric and textual data
Leverage continuous integration and continuous deployment best practices, including test automation and monitoring, to ensure successful deployment of Machine Learning (ML) models and application code
Flex your interpersonal skills to translate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals

Statistically-minded. You've built models, validated them, and back-tested them. You know how to interpret a confusion matrix or a ROC curve. You have experience with clustering, classification, time series analysis and more.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in data analytics, or Master's Degree, or PhD
At least 1 year of experience in open source programming languages for large scale data analysis
At least 1 year of experience with machine learning
At least 1 year of experience with relational databases
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in "STEM" field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) plus 3 years of experience in data analytics, or PhD in "STEM" field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
At least 3 years' experience in Python or Scala
At least 3 years' experience with machine learning
At least 1 year of experience working with AWS
At least 1 year of experience with distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Dask, or Docker).
