Die EUC-Kernstrategie der DB basiert auf der umfassenden Einfhrung eines Technologiepakets mehrerer Anbieter, das Microsoft Windows gehostete Desktops und Anwendungen bereitstellt. Die derzeitige Remote-Desktop-Benutzerbasis von ca. 110.000 Benutzern wird in den kommenden Jahren in eine Kombination aus Cloud-basierten Desktops und einem neuen Technologiepaket umgewandelt. Die Qualitt, Stabilitt und Benutzererfahrung, die durch diese Technologiepakete geboten wird, ist von grter Bedeutung und stellt ein grundlegendes Element der IT- und der Geschftsstrategie der Bank dar.

Der Senior Remote Desktop Engineer ist verantwortlich fr die Architektur, das Engineering und die Produkteinfhrung gehosteter Microsoft Windows Desktop- und Anwendungsdienste in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Enterprise und EUC Architekten, zentralen Desktop-, Plattform- und Storage-Engineering-Teams, Sicherheits- und Compliance-Abteilungen sowie geschftsorientierten Technologiefunktionen.

Aufgabenbeschreibung:

• Fhrung und Leitung eines Teams von Ingenieuren, die Remote Desktop- und Anwendungsprodukte entwickeln, entwerfen, testen und integrieren, bevor sie in die Produktion gehen.
• Produktentwicklung in bereinstimmung mit allen Architektur- und Governance-Standards und -Kontrollen
• Bereitstellung von 3rd-Level-Support & Critical Incident Management fr zugewiesene Technologien - in einer fachlichen Expertenrolle (SME-Rolle)
• Beitrag von technischem Input fr die Erstellung und Aktualisierung von Roadmaps zu Unternehmenstechnologien
• Verantwortung fr alle domnenorientierten Transformationsarchitekturen/Engineering, einschlielich High Level Designs (HLD), Low Level Designs (LLD) und der dazugehrigen Design-/Engineering-Dokumentation
• Untersttzung des operativen Risikomanagements fr Virtual Desktop/Anwendungs-Produkte und -Dienstleistungen in enger Zusammenarbeit mit den zustndigen divisionalen Kontrollfunktionen, Risikobeauftragten und CISO-Sicherheitsarchitekturfunktionen
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Product Owners, Solution Engineers und Operativen Mitarbeitern, um die technische Architektur, Designs und Lsungen im Detail zu verstehen und zu verfeinern

Fachliche und persnliche Anforderungen:

• Bachelor- oder Master-Abschluss in Informatik oder einer verwandten Disziplin an einer anerkannten Fachhochschule oder Universitt bzw. gleichwertige Erfahrung Z.B. Berufserfahrung
• Langjhrige Erfahrung in einer gleichwertigen Remote-Desktop-Plattform Architekt- und/oder Senior Engineer-Rolle in einer globalen, unternehmensweiten Umgebung, vorzugsweise in der Finanzdienstleistungsbranche
• Erfahrung in einer COO-Organisation. Kenntnisse von Prozessen und Tools nach Industriestandard: ITIL v3, ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.
• Fundierte Kenntnisse und praktische Erfahrung mit den folgenden bevorzugten Technologien oder zumindest mit gleichwertigen Alternativen;
  • Microsoft Windows 7/10 Betriebssysteme und zugehrige Infrastrukturen

DB's core EUC strategy is based on widespread adoption of a multi-vendor technology stack delivering Microsoft Windows hosted desktops and applications. The current remote desktop user-base of approximately 110,000 users will be transformed to a combination of cloud based desktops and a new technology stack in the coming years. The quality, stability and user-experience offered through these technology stacks is of paramount importance and is a fundamental building block of both the banks IT and business strategies.

The Senior Remote Desktop Engineer is responsible for the architecture, engineering and transition to production of hosted Microsoft Windows desktop and application services in close collaboration with Enterprise and EUC Architects, core desktop, platform and storage engineering teams, security and compliance divisions and business aligned technology functions.

Task Description

• Manage and lead a team of engineers who Engineer, Design, Test and integrate Remote Desktop and application products prior to deployment to production
• Engineer products in line with all Architectural and Governance standards and controls
• Provide 3rd-level Support & critical incident management for assigned technologies - in a subject matter expert role
• Provide engineering input into the creation and maintenance of enterprise technology roadmaps
• Accountable for all domain aligned transformation architecture/engineering including High Level Designs (HLD), Low Level Designs (LLD) and related design/engineering documentation.
• Support operational risk management activities for Virtual desktop/application products and services in close collaboration with the relevant divisional control functions, risk officers and CISO security architecture functions.
• Will be required to work closely with Product Owners, Solution Engineers and Operational personnel to understand and refine in detail technical architecture, designs and solutions

Technical and personal skills

• Educated to Bachelors or Master's degree level in Computer Science, or a related discipline, from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
• Many years of experience in an equivalent remote desktop platform Architect and/or Senior Engineer role in a global, enterprise-scale environment preferably in the Financial Services industry
• Experience in a COO organization. Knowledge of industry standard processes and tools: ITIL v3, ServiceNow, JIRA, etc
• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with the following preferred technologies or, minimally, direct equivalents;
  • Microsoft Windows 7/10 operating systems and associated infrastructures
  • Citrix XenDesktop, XenApp, AppDNA, Storefront, Netscaler
  • Microsoft SQL-Server
  • Microsoft App-V end-user application delivery
  • MSI packaging technology, tools and delivery methods.
  • Thin client delivery devices and supporting infrastructure tools
  • VMWare Vsphere
  • ESM storage and related de-duplication technologies
  • End User Experience monitoring software
• Excellent organisational and time management skills and a high level of commitment
• Very good analytical and conceptual skills, very good perceptive faculty
