Job Description
Acara Solutions has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Engineer for our growing client in Monroe, NC! This would be a 1 year contract with expecatation for a long term employment option. OVERALL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-Prior experience with a preventative maintenance program for production, utility and building systems including keeping equipment records preferred.-Responsible for safety and the adherence to policies and regulations to ensure that all engineering tasks are performed in a safe manner.-Ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and electronic control systems and PLC based systems utilizing equipment schematics and specialized testing equipment-Familiar with use and operation of test equipment such as digital voltmeters, ammeters, temperature probes, and pneumatic calibrators -Knowledgeable with servicing and operating Bottle Packing Line (Pharma Pack - Unscrambler, Tablet Counter, Desiccant Inserter, Cotton Inserter, Rotary Capper, Sealer, Inline Retorquer, Labeler, Booklet Outserter, Track and Trace- Omnivision and Matrix Station)-Working knowledge and familiarity with hand and power tools.-Must be familiar with and possess the ability to read, understand and use electrical drawings, system drawings and panel layout sheets; as well as wiring diagrams.-Recent and relevant familiarity with execution and documentation of preventive maintenance following cGMP in protocols, logbooks and general maintenance documents. -Regulatory status - To ensure all machinery is maintained-Optimum performance of Plant & Machinery: To ensure that Plant & machinery delivers consistent performance throughout the production cycles. Plan the Engineering strategies to improve plant performance & deliver right product at right time & cost. Ensure optimum utilization of manpower & CREATE high performance behaviors within Engineers & staff. Support innovations & technology to for continuous improvements. Ensure EHS procedures & practices are followed to have Zero loss time accidents & zero non compliances.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
-Strong knowledge required of Pharma process machinery such as Bottle Packing Line (Pharma Pack – Unscrambler, Tablet Counter, Desiccant Inserter, Cotton Inserter, Rotary Capper, Sealer, Inline Retorquer, Labeler, Booklet Outserter, Track and Trace- Omnivision and Matrix Station)
-Engineering documentation expertise required (e.g., P&IDs, User requirement specifications, functional specifications, design specifications and protocols).


Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
-Computer skills (MS Word, MS Projects, AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
-Blue Mountain experience
-Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
-Communication - Strong oral and written communication skills.
-Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities which fosters group commitments to goals and objectives.
