ATI is currently seeking a Truck Driver - Shipping/Receiving operator for our Bakers facility in Monroe, NC. In this role you would be required to drive company trucks to deliver and pick up parts from customers and between ATI facilities. You would receive materials for distribution and prepare materials and parts for outside process. In addition, you would deliver and pick up materials to and from production areas, organize and maintain warehouse storage and inventory of parts and materials and prepare parts and associated paperwork for shipping, cleaning and marking as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Operate company owned vehicles to make pickups and deliveries of materials, parts, supplies and other items as necessary. Company owned vehicles generally consist of cars, vans, pickup trucks and heavy duty trucks (1 ton, 2 ton)
  • Responsible for securing load, obeying traffic regulations and seeing that required paperwork is signed and handled properly.
  • Perform all required duties to mark & pack and ship a wide variety of high temperature alloys following established methods and procedures.
  • Wrap, strap, protect, pack or otherwise prepare ingots for shipment.
  • Apply prescribed color or other coding and identification to materials.
  • Label containers and perform other related duties as required to completely prepare orders for shipment.
  • Make out truck bills of lading and sign off mark/pack step on mill order travelers for ingots being shipped to Monroe/TSAF facility.
  • Unload in coming delivery trucks.
  • Weigh incoming material and store in designated racks, bins or other storage areas and locations.
  • Detect and report damaged or defective items, questionable situations, or unusual conditions to proper supervision.
  • Maintain location, usage and other records; prepare requisitions and other documents.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Preform other duties as required, follow safety regulations; maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of Quality system and deviation and disposition reporting. Knowledge of hazards of contamination in titanium. Knowledge of identification procedures. Knowledge of cleaning procedures for assigned equipment and process.
  • Required to possess & maintain an active Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Hazardous Endorsement
  • Minimum of 12 months of related experience.
