Overview

Regulatory Technology aims to be an industry leading function that deliverssustainable regulatory compliance through technology automation and competitive operating leverage to create a safe and controlled operating environment that protects the Deutsche Bank franchise and its clients. This specific role is with Trade Surveillance where we are monitoring all trade activities looking for anomalous behavior using Big Data tools, including Python and Spark, and building common application platform for users, using Web and Service oriented architecture and variety of technology stack.

You will work as a key integral member of a cross-functional agile QA team, collaborating with analysts, developers and DevOps with strong communication. You will bring an innovative approach to software testing, focusing on using the latest technologies and practices, as part of a relentless focus on business value, You will be someone who sees engineering as team activity, with a predisposition to open code, open discussion and creating a supportive, collaborative environment. You will be ready to take a proactive role in all stages of software delivery, from initial analysis right through to production release.

What You'll Do

  • Work as part of a cross-functional DevOps-QA team, closely collaborating with development and DevOps teams to understand requirements, ensure testability, design and lead test solutions, implement and support them

  • Leads as an integral part of a central DevOps-QA team with ability to research, design, develop and execute automated tools and test framework, and closely work with Software Development Architecture groups inside and outside the project within the Bank

  • Help your team build, test and release software with the short lead times and promoting shift-left testing. Work to develop and maintain a highly automated Continuous Testing pipeline

  • Responsible for building and leading multiple phases of testing (E2E/Regression/System & Performance) for Web based and Big Data based applications, focused on Test Automation and CICD, Help create a culture of learning and continuous improvement within your team and beyond, promoting testing integrated development model

  • Be the strong liaison of central quality assurance (QA) governance and tooling solutions for the development program, and be able to influence developers to include automated testing as key part of SDLC

  • Proven ability to work with equivalent QA, DevOps and Development counterparts in different geographic locations (USA, London, India) and help teams to deliver business commitments with quality embedded

Skills You'll Need

  • Extensive years of overall QA experience, with practical experience leading and mentoring peer team of at least 6 QA engineers. Candidate must have hands-on coding skills with Test Automation and Performance Testing, Test planning and coordination with technical leadership ability, Ability to learn and support executing back-end tests using tools like Control-M/ActiveBatch, Strong coding experience with any Object-Oriented Programming language (C/Java/TypeScript/Python) and performing code reviews; Strong experience writing SQL Queries and its tuning parameters

  • Proven experience with influencing the development and testing community in adapting automated testing practices and implementing QA governance, not just working with testing members to write the tests, but also with developers to write the functional tests; Experience in creating test plans, status reports and coordinate with variety of IT and Business stakeholders working towards successful sign-offs for Production Releases

  • Senior level hands on engineering and development skills for Functional test automation, Cross-tier E2E Automated testing, designing frameworks, scripting and monitoring utilizing tool sets like Selenium WebDriver, Protractor, Cucumber, Playwright, Jenkins/TeamCity, Splunk, Grafana or any equivalent platform

  • Strong hands-on experience with API/Web Service testing and automation, experience working in an agile team, practicing Scrum, Kanban or XP, experience working with Cloud based architecture (Google/Azure/AWS), and knowledge of Big Data systems testing such as Hadoop or ETL, Unix systems

  • Experience in defect management using tool like JIRA/ALM including defect creation & trouble-shooting; Proven experience in implementing continuous testing integrated into CICD pipeline and designing new tools and ideas showing ROI

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Strong hands-on experience with load, performance and/or stress testing using tools like HP Performance Center/LoadRunner/JMeter is a major plus

  • Experience testing regulatory programs in the financial services industry

  • Experience in other programing languages, specifically Python and Scala would be helpful

  • Strong communication, collaboration, influencing skills, and Self-motivated with problem solving attitude

  • Experience in Google Cloud programming, DevOps or any web app development; Experience in behavior driven development (or design) (BDD), Agile software development life cycle (SDLC) is a plus

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $142,250.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
