Position Overview

Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The primary functions of BRITE are to train BS, MS and PhD students and carry out hypothesis-driven research to fulfill NCCU’s mission to evolve into a strong research organization in biotechnology areas.
Primary Purpose of Position
The main responsibilities are to develop, organize, and implement processes and procedures for the curriculum and programmatic aspects of the NC GlaxoSmithKline Foundation Program in Biotech. The incumbent is expected to execute the varied duties and responsibilities independently with minimal supervision and would join a dynamic and highly collaborative academic team.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Candidates must have a strong background in program planning, implementation, and administration
  • Emphasis is on effective management of programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and familiarity with higher learning environment
  • This individual should also have experience in planning, multi-tasking, and prioritizing responsibilities
  • Ability to think strategically, identify and solve problems, and implement solutions
  • Social media savvy
  • Experience working with undergraduates students

Minimum Education/Experience
Masters Degree or 1-2 years of equivalent experience.
