CLA is currently seeking a Tax Instructor to join our Learning Team. The Tax Instructor instructs and develops content for tax technical learning, works on strategic learning initiatives, and is involved in governance of the curriculum. The role is split between instructional design and facilitation and supporting or being a part of a client-serving tax practice. The Tax Instructor brings technical subject matter expertise and on-the-job experience to the role.

How you'll create opportunities in this Tax Instructor role:

  • Facilitate and develop content for tax learning sessions.
  • Work on strategic learning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the business on governance of the curriculum; this includes identifying and analyzing training and performance needs and recommending solutions, instructional strategies, and media.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of curriculum and sessions and implement continuous improvements.
  • Keep technically current and continue gaining practice experience by supporting office's tax return pools, client service, or projects.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience required.
  • One of the following credentials is required: CPA, JD, enrolled agent.
  • 5 years' experience as a client-serving tax practitioner or equivalent required.
  • Recent experience and variety of practice experience preferred.
  • Experience and/or background in instruction and/or instructional design required.
  • Experience teaching at a university, school, or in business preferred.
