Job Description

We have a great opportunity for an Income Tax Senior Associate to join our growing team! The Income Tax Senior Associate works closely with other departments to compile the necessary information to ensure the alignment of Corporate, State and Local tax. As Income Tax Senior Associate, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in tax provision calculations for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
  • Gather relevant accounting and financial data, apply requisite tax laws/regulations and input results into supporting work papers and tax applications
  • Prepare federal and state income and franchise tax returns and related work papers, as well as other necessary tax filings, including estimated payments, extensions, etc.
  • Conduct tax research and draft memorandums to support tax filing positions, analyze tax issues and developments, as required
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, with the objective of increasing efficiencies within the compliance process
  • Work closely with accounting, finance, and management to ensure strategic alignment of the tax function with other business units
  • Work under moderate supervision while demonstrating strong self-review skills
  • Prepare responses to inquiries from taxing authorities
  • Willingness to learn indirect taxes
Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • 2+ years of experience and a strong background in the accounting for income taxes (ASC740), federal taxation of U.S. corporations and consolidated groups, with general knowledge of partnership taxation
  • A thorough knowledge of a variety of state and local tax jurisdictions
  • CPA certification or candidate preferred
  • Master's degree in Accounting/Taxation preferred
  • Big 4 or large corporate tax experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of Corporate Tax software or equivalent
  • Strong experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and web-based tax research tool
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding

Bonus Points for:

  • Experience with SAP and SharePoint
  • Solid knowledge of OneSource Tax Provision or equivalent
