We are looking for a talented industrial designer to help develop future products that take the globally recognized brands within our portfolio forward. The right person will work alongside cross functional teams on new innovative product designs, help guide existing projects in development and bring a passionate focus on creativity, user experience, human factors and usability to a variety of product ranges. An enthusiastic collaborator, excellent communicator, and a drive to meet challenging business needs, the role is an exciting new opportunity within a Global product development organization.

The ideal candidate will help push the caliber of concepts and bring a focus on user experience to all projects. With a deep understanding of concept design, industrial design development and a background in innovative consumer/professional goods, successful candidates will leverage their design skills to a variety of challenges including hard/soft goods design and development, ergonomics, user experience, and will be able to touch on the full life-cycle of projects to deliver high level design quality and intent.

Experience

Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Industrial Design

5+ years of experience in consumer goods, consulting or commercial product design environment

Skills

A strong portfolio that portrays a hands-on user experience focused approach

Excellent sketching and visualization skills (hand sketching, digital 2D and 3D rendering) - Sketchbook, Keyshot, Photoshop, Illustrator, Solidworks etc.

Prototyping, mock-up and sketch modelling ability

Strong verbal and visual communication skills, with an ability to develop and socialize design narratives and rationale

Passion

Enthusiastic interest in what you do, with innovative problem-solving mindset

A natural collaborator, embracing all facets of a holistic and dynamic design process

Can-do attitude, embracing challenges and coming up with creative solutions whilst identifying opportunities

Intuitive and motivated with an interest in manufacturing processes and assembly to deliver exceptional end products that meet demanding user needs
