RK&K is hiring experienced Roadway and Bridge Inspectors to support our Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team in the Asheville, NC area.
Essential Functions:
The ideal candidate for this position will work independently with North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and contractors while being responsible for:
- Work on various roadway and bridge projects within the region's geographic area
- Oversight of contractor's quality control operations
- Quality Assurance sampling and testing
- Completion of Daily Sampling and Testing Reports
- Data input in SiteManager/LIMS
- Daily communication with client, contractor, and field project personnel
Work Experience
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
- 2 years of prior experience providing inspection services
- Candidates must be trustworthy and responsible
- Must have a solid background in mathematics
- Understand how to read and follow test specifications
- Excellent driving record
Preferred Education, Skills and Experience:
NCDOT Certifications as followed:
- NCDOT Erosion & Sediment Control Level II
- NCDOT Introduction to Asphalt Pavements
- NCDOT QMS Roadway Technician
- NCDOT Concrete Field Technician
- ACI Concrete Field Technician
- NCDOT ABC Sampling Technician
- NCDOT Borrow Pit Sampling Technician
- NCDOT Conventional Density Technician
- NICET Certifications
