Essential Job Duties | The NC State College Advising Corps (CAC) is an AmeriCorps college access program that aims to increase the postsecondary enrollment for low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students in North Carolina. NC State CAC recruits recent college graduates to serve as "near peer" AmeriCorps college advisers in under-resourced high schools across the state. Our program is dedicated to closing the gap in college attainment and ensuring all North Carolina students have access to educational pathways beyond high school. Essential Job Duties
Returning AmeriCorps college advisers play an important role in the leadership and knowledge transfer of our program. They take on increased responsibility, including leading some training sessions for all college advisers, leading college adviser committees, and mentoring new college advisers.
