Hitachi Energy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Training and Learning & Development Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and development, coupled with a strong background in engineering, to drive the continuous growth and development of our Transformer engineering team.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of engineering teams, focusing on technical skills, product knowledge, and professional development.
Coordinate and conduct design training programs, including blended learning such as pre-learning, digital learning, experiential, peer-to-peer and workshops.
Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and webinars for engineers at various levels, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill acquisition.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback mechanisms, assessments, and performance metrics, and continuously refine content and delivery methods based on results.
Collaborate with engineering leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to identify training needs, align learning initiatives with business objectives, and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
Your background
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years of experience. Advanced degree or certifications in Training & Development or Adult Education preferred.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the U.S.
Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and training delivery, utilizing a variety of learning methodologies and tools.
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, processes, and technologies.
Excellent verbal communication, presentation Skills and engagement skills in-person and virtual Ability to travel 10-25%
